Easy chicken pot pie recipe
I normally don't cook, I'm really not very good at it and my husband happens to be a pretty good cook so I don't have to cook. However, I want to eat better, more fruits and vegetables, and avoid eating so much processed food. Here is a simple recipe that I managed to make..and it was good! :)
Ingredients:
One chicken breast cooked and cut into cubes (I baked it)
One can of Campbell's chicken soup
One bag of pictsweet mixed frozen vegetables
Pillsbury Grands biscuits
Instructions:
1. Cook vegetables according to instructions on the bag (boil in water for 3 minutes)
2. Mix soup with half a can of water or milk over heat.
3. Combine chicken cubes, vegetables, and soup.
4. Pour mixture into an oven safe pan and cover with biscuits.
5. Cook on 400 degrees for around 10 minutes or until biscuits are golden.
6. Add salt and pepper to taste and ENJOY!
*I turned the biscuits so the underside would cook to be crispy like the top (I think the moisture from the mixture prevented the bottoms from cooking)

First day of school
Today was my first day at cosmetology school, it went really well although we didn't do much besides get our kits, meet the staff, and go through lots of paperwork. My sister was babysitting so I didn't expect to have any problems, apparently the little man behaved and even started cruising. He walked while holding onto the couch when I wasn't there! When the day was over I walked out to be greeted by my husband and son, it was a wonderful surprise since I thought hubby was at work. The little things really do make a world of difference :)
I hope tomorrow goes as smoothly as today did, it will be the first time leaving the little monster with someone who isn't a family member - eek!

Solid food strike?
Recently, my son started refusing his spoon, no matter what was on it. I was a little concerned because before this he was great about eating his baby food, he would open his mouth for the spoon to enter and wasn't really picky about what I fed him. All of a sudden he would not eat his baby food, he would eat the little finger food that I gave him and his bottle but no spoon. Well, after this went on for almost a week I decided I wouldn't offer him any more because I was wasting so much baby food. Either he wasn't feeling well or the break from baby food made him want it again because last night I offered him some and he opened his mouth like before to accept the spoon, he ended up eating the whole 3.5oz of baby food! I'm so relieved he is eating his solids again, this morning he had his cereal so looks like we're back on track :)

Crafty momma
Since I have been making hair bows I decided to make a fan page to display them so others could possibly purchase them or let me know ideas for other bows. I also plan to start making homemade soap and baby wipe solution cubes (for those that use cloth wipes, you dissolve the cube in water to make wipe solution). Another thing I might add are costumes, I'm making my son's first Halloween costume so we shall see how it turns out :)

Halloween costume
I found a really cute costume for my son's first Halloween but I couldn't justify spending $50 on a costume for him to wear once. I decided I would make his costume myself and try to re-create the one I liked. So far the fabric has cost around $15 and since I got snap clsures and non-slip grip material for the bottom the total cost is maybe $20, bargain! I started sewing it by hand a few nights ago since my sewing machine is acting up, I'm going to be so proud of myself when it's finished! We are hopefully going to a pumpkin patch to take pictures before Halloween of the little guy in his costume, maybe the pictures will be worthy of displaying in our house ;)
Now I need to figure out what I'm going to dress up as!
