Diaper sprayer

When I first decided I was going to try cloth diapers one of the big questions was whether a diaper sprayer was necessary or not. Some people swore by a diaper sprayer but others felt it was unnecessary, after I received all of my cloth diaper order I decided I would get the sprayer to see if I liked it or not. Well, there is the advantage of not putting poo directly into the washing machine and although I would say I am a fan no one warned me about the fact that to spray the diaper "clean" you have to make the pressure on the sprayer enough that it could also splash back and hit you in the face (you know like when the water from a hose bounces off the ground and splashes you) I have now figured out how to bend over the toilet to spray the diaper while tilting my head back enough not to get any unexpected spray backfire. At the end of the day I'm glad we have the diaper sprayer since I wash the cloth diapers every other day and it really reduces the smell, and makes my husband happy that we won't have any residue floating around the washing machine.
